Installing a vacuum brake booster (Mitsubishi Pajero 4)

Note: When installing, tighten the bolts to the torques specified in the picture.


1. Install the washer (9).

2. Install the insulator (model with 4M4 engine) (8).

3. Install the gasket (7).

4. Install the brake booster (6).

5. Tighten the brake booster mounting nuts (5).

6. Install the pin assembly (4).

7. Install the spring pin (3).

8. Connect the brake pipe connection (2).

9. Connect the electrical wiring connector (1).

10. Install the air intake hose and air filter assembly.

11. Install the battery (left hand drive model).

12. Adjust the brake pedal.

13. Fill with brake fluid and bleed the brake system.

14. Check the correct operation of the brake booster.
