1. Check the protective cover for cracks or damage by pressing on the cover with your finger.

2. If the boot is cracked or damaged, replace the upper control arm assembly, rear lower control arm assembly, lower control arm assembly, or stabilizer bar.

Note: Cracks or damage to the protective boot may result in damage to the ball joint.
