Removal the shock absorber





1. Unscrew the shock absorber mounting nut (1).

2. Remove the washer (2).

3. Unscrew the shock absorber mounting bolt (3).

4. Remove the shock absorber (4).

5. Remove the bushing (5).

6. Remove the lower bushing (6).

7. Remove the washer (7).

8. Unscrew the lower arm mounting bolt (8).

1) Compress the coil spring using a floor jack and remove the lower arm mounting bolt.

2) Lower the floor jack and then remove the coil spring.



9. Remove the coil spring (9).

10. Remove the upper spring seat (10).

11. Remove the lower spring seat (11).

12. Unscrew the adjusting bolt (12).

13. Remove the lower arm assembly (13).



Installing the shock absorber



Caution: * Indicates parts that must be pre-tightened and then finally tightened with the unloaded vehicle on its wheels on a level, horizontal surface.


Note: When installing, tighten the bolts to the torques shown in the figure.


1. Install the lower arm assembly (13).

2. Tighten the adjusting bolt (12).

3. Install the lower spring seat (11).

4. Install the upper spring seat (10).

5. Install the coil spring (9).

6. Tighten the lower arm mounting bolt (8).

7. Install the washer (7).

8. Install the lower bushing (6).

9. Install the sleeve (5).

10. Install the shock absorber (4).

11. Tighten the shock absorber mounting bolt (3).

12. Install the washer (2).

13. Tighten the shock absorber mounting nut (1).

14. Check and adjust wheel alignment angles.
