Checking the release cylinder (Mitsubishi Pajero 4)

1. Check the inside of the cylinder body for rust, scratches or pitting.

2. Measure the inner diameter of the release cylinder and the outer diameter of the piston using a micrometer.

Note: Measure the inside diameter of the master cylinder in three places (bottom, center and top) in a perpendicular direction.

3. If the clearance between the release cylinder and piston exceeds the specification, replace the master cylinder and/or piston assembly.

Maximum value: 0.15 mm.



4. Check the clutch release cylinder for fluid leaks.

5. Check the clutch release cylinder boot for damage.
