Removal
- Remove the lower engine splash shield.
- Remove the intercooler air hose.
- Loosen the tension and remove the alternator drive belt.
- Loosen the bolt and remove the idler pulley.
- Loosen the air conditioning compressor mounting bolts and, without disconnecting the hoses, move the air conditioning compressor so that it does not interfere with the removal of the generator (Fig. 19.59).

- Disconnect the electrical connectors from the generator.
- Loosen the nuts, remove the generator mounting bolts and remove the generator.
Installation
- Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
- Install the intercooler air hose.
- Install the air conditioning compressor.
- Install the lower engine splash shield.
