Removing the rear seal
When removing parts, pay attention to the operation to remove the flywheel assembly.
Using a special tool, fix the flywheel, then unscrew the mounting bolts.
Attention! If the crankshaft is fixed on the pulley side, use only the recommended special tools, otherwise the damage to the crankshaft pulley damper is greatly increased.
Using a special tool, fix the flywheel, then unscrew the mounting bolts.
Installing a new oil seal
Apply a small amount of engine oil to the lip of the oil seal around its entire circumference.
By tapping on the mandrel, install the stuffing box so that its end surface is located at the level of the chamfer of the stuffing box housing, as shown in the figure.
Flywheel Installation
Before installing, clean the mounting bolts, threaded holes in the crankshaft and flywheel from oil, old sealant and other contaminants.
Lubricate the bearing surfaces of the washers of the flywheel mounting bolts with engine oil.
Note. It is allowed to apply sealant to the threaded part of the flywheel mounting bolts (Manual transmission, however, this operation can lead to difficulties in the subsequent unscrewing of the bolts.
Using the special tool, fix the flywheel, then tighten the mounting bolts to the rated torque.
Tightening torque: 132±5 Nm.
Establish a casing and a conducted disk of coupling.
Install the gearbox.
Removing the front seal
Before starting the operation, remove the timing belt and balancer drive belt.
Cut part of the working edge of the crankshaft oil seal.
Wrap the tip of a screwdriver with a cloth, insert it into the slot of the stuffing box and remove the stuffing box.
Attention! Be careful not to damage the crankshaft and oil pump housing.
