1. Disconnect the battery from ground.
2. Raise the car.
3. Drain the liquid.
4. Mark the position of the propeller shaft flange and disconnect the shaft (see subsection 9.3.9).
5. Remove the cover, pry up and remove the seal.
6. Assembly is carried out in reverse order.
7. Lubricate the new oil seal and press it in with a mandrel until the surface of the oil seal aligns with the gearbox housing.
