The cooling system is designed to maintain the optimal thermal operating mode of the engine under any operating conditions. These engines use a liquid cooling system with forced circulation of liquid through the cooling jacket of the cylinder block and cylinder head using a centrifugal pump. When the coolant temperature exceeds a predetermined value, the thermostat opens and the coolant begins to circulate through the radiator, dissipating heat into the air.

The centrifugal pump is driven by a timing belt or a drive belt from the crankshaft pulley. The radiator is of the tubular-plate type, cooled by an electric fan. Depending on the thermal operating mode of the engine, the electric fan is controlled by the fan controller based on control signals from the electronic engine control unit (engine - ECU).
