Caution: Do not remove the radiator cap when the coolant temperature is high, as this may cause injury because the coolant is under pressure.
1. Fill the radiator with coolant to the filler neck level and connect the tester.
2. Warm up the engine.
3. Create a pressure of 160 kPa and check for a pressure drop. If the pressure drops, there are coolant leaks.
4. Check for coolant leaks from (hose connections or the hoses themselves) cooling systems.
Attention:
- Thoroughly remove moisture from the surface of all parts being tested.
- When removing the radiator cap tester from the radiator filler neck, be careful not to allow coolant to splash (flow out).
- When connecting and disconnecting the tester, as well as during testing, be careful not to deform the radiator filler neck.
5. If there are coolant leaks, repair or replace the relevant parts.
