Disconnecting the fuel pump connector (Mitsubishi Pajero 4)

Since the fuel line is under high pressure, before removing the fuel manifold, hose, etc., perform the following operations to reduce the fuel pressure and prevent fuel splashing.

1. Raise the rear seat cushion.

2. Under the floor mat, disconnect the fuel pump wiring harness connector from the electrical wiring harness on the body floor.

3. Start the engine and let it run until it stops on its own, then turn the ignition key to the OFF position.

4. Connect the wiring harness connector to the fuel pump.

5. Install the rear seat cushion.
