Checking the intake manifold air temperature sensor (Mitsubishi Pajero 4)

1. Disconnect the air flow sensor connector.

2. Measure the resistance between terminals 5 and 6.

Nominal value:

• 2.3-3.0 kOhm (at 20°C)
• 0.31-0.43 kOhm (at 80°C)

3. Measure the resistance by heating the sensor with a hair dryer.

In good condition

Temperature (°C)	Resistance (kOhm)
It's increasing	It's going down

4. If the resistance does not correspond to the nominal value or it does not change depending on the temperature, replace the air flow sensor.
