1. Disconnect the connector from the air flow meter sensor (Fig. 7.10).

2. Measure the resistance between contacts "5" and "6" of the connector.

Nominal resistance value:
  • at a temperature of 20°C – 2.3–3.0 kOhm;
  • at a temperature of 80°C – 0.30–0.42 kOhm.

3. Measure the resistance by heating the sensor with a hair dryer (Fig. 7.11). As the sensor heats up, its resistance should decrease.

4. If the resistance does not correspond to the nominal value or it does not change depending on the temperature, replace the air flow meter sensor.
