Pic. 7.5. Installing a 0.5 mm thick flat feeler gauge between the accelerator lever and throttle lever: 1 - accelerator lever; 2 - probe; 3 - throttle lever
2. Insert a 0.5 mm thick flat feeler gauge between the throttle lever and the throttle lever to a depth of approximately 3 mm (pic. 7.5).
Attention! If the probe is pushed in more than 3 mm, then the angle of rotation of the accelerator lever becomes more than necessary. This results in incorrect adjustment.
3. Turn the ignition key to position «ON» («ON»), but do not start the engine.
4. Loosen the accelerator pedal position sensor mounting bolt and turn the sensor clockwise until it stops.
5. Make sure that the fully closed throttle position switch is turned on in this position.
6. Slowly turn the sensor counter-clockwise to find the position at which the fully closed throttle position switch turns off. After that, securely tighten the accelerator pedal position sensor mounting bolt in this position.
7. Select a mode «Traction Control System» on the MUT-II instrument.
8. Check the output voltage of the accelerator pedal position sensor. The nominal value is 400-1000 mV.
9. In case of voltage deviations from the nominal value, check the accelerator pedal position sensor and its circuit (wiring harness).
10. Remove the feeler gauge.
11. Turn the ignition key to position «OFF» («OFF»).
12. Disconnect the MUT-II.
