The car comes with two keys that fit all locks. Keep one of the keys in a safe place as a spare.
To minimize the risk of car theft, the keys have a unique design that makes copying difficult. In addition, the car locks are designed to prevent the doors from being opened by means other than the car's own key.
Be careful when handling your keys to avoid losing them or locking them inside your vehicle.
To prevent unauthorized persons from finding out your key number, this number is not stamped on the key itself, but on a removable plastic keychain. Keep the plastic keychain in a safe place, separate from your keys.
Note
- (1) Keys can only be duplicated by an authorized Mitsubishi dealer. If you lose your keys, please provide the dealer with their number.
- (2) Since the vehicle is equipped with an electronic immobilizer, the engine is designed so that it will not start if the identification code registered in the immobilizer electronic control unit does not match the identification code in the key.
- (3) Never leave keys near magnetic or metal objects as this may adversely affect the operation of the responder.
