ABS warning light

The anti-lock brake system indicator light should come on when the ignition is turned on and go out after approximately 3 seconds. If the indicator light does not come on, this indicates that the anti-lock brake system is not working and only the standard brake system is operating.
If the light comes on while the vehicle is moving:
- stop the vehicle in a safe place and turn off the engine. Start the engine again and see if the light goes out. If it goes out and does not come on again while driving, then everything is OK. However, if the light does not go out or comes on again while driving, have the vehicle checked by an authorized Mitsubishi dealer as soon as possible.
- after starting the engine from an external power source (via connecting wires), if you attempt to start the vehicle before the battery is fully charged, the engine will run unevenly and the anti-lock braking warning light will flash to indicate that the vehicle should not be driven. However, this situation is simply caused by insufficient battery voltage and is not abnormal. If it occurs, allow the engine to idle for a while to charge the battery pack.
