Examination



1. Immerse the thermostat in water and heat it up by stirring (Figure 5.2). Check whether the thermostat opening temperature corresponds to the required value. Nominal valve opening temperature: 82±1.5°C.

2. Make sure that the valve lift height is as required if the water temperature is sufficient to open the valve (Fig. 5.3).

Please note: The valve height is measured when the thermostat is fully closed and the valve height when the thermostat is fully open is calculated based on this measurement.




Installation



3. Install the thermostat so that the valve points straight up (Figure 5.4).

Attention! Make sure that there is absolutely no oil on the thermostat rubber seal. Installation must be done especially carefully so as not to bend or scratch the seal.
