16. The battery is running low
1. Damage or incorrect adjustment of the alternator drive belt (see Chapter 1).
2. Low electrolyte level or battery is discharged (see Chapter 1).
3. Battery terminals are loose or damaged by corrosion (see Chapter 1).
4. The generator does not provide sufficient charging current (see Chapter 5).
5. Loose, broken or faulty wire in the charging circuit (see Chapter 5).
6. A short circuit in the car's electrical wiring leads to a constant discharge of the battery (see Chapter 12 и electrical circuits).
7. Internal battery failure.
