Cordia, Precis and Tredia
1. Remove the power steering oil pump and alternator drive belts (see Chapter 1).
2. Remove the power steering pump (see illustration).

3. Remove the generator adjustment bracket.
4. Unscrew the lower generator mounting bolt.
5. Disconnect the generator electrical connectors.
6. Remove the generator.
7. Perform installation in reverse order.
8. Adjust the belt tension (see Chapter 1).
Galant
9. Remove the left fan motor.
10. Remove the power steering oil pump and alternator drive belts (see Chapter 1).
11. Remove the generator bracket.
12. Label and disconnect the generator electrical connectors.
13. Unscrew the lower generator mounting bolt.
14. Remove the generator.
15. Perform installation in reverse order.
16. Adjust the belt tension (see Chapter 1).
Mirage (1985 to 1988)
17. Remove the alternator drive belt and any other belts that interfere with alternator removal (see Chapter 1).
18. Unscrew the generator mounting bolts.
19. Locate and disconnect the generator electrical connectors.
20. Remove components that prevent the generator from collapsing.

21. Remove the generator.
22. Perform installation in reverse order.
23. Adjust the belt tension (see Chapter 1).
Mirage (since 1989)

28. Remove the generator.
29. Perform installation in reverse order.

33. Remove the generator bracket.
34. Remove the radiator (see Chapter 3).
35. Label and disconnect the generator electrical connectors.
36. Unscrew the lower generator mounting bolt.
37. Remove the generator.
38. Perform installation in reverse order.
39. Adjust the belt tension (see Chapter 1).
