1. It is necessary to periodically check the functionality of the windshield wiper and washer, the tightness of the fastening and the absence of damage to the brushes.
2. The film that forms on the glass under road conditions can accumulate on the wipers and reduce their effectiveness, so they must be washed regularly in a cleaning solution.
3. During operation of the windshield wiper mechanism, the bolts, nuts and fastening elements may become loose, so they must be checked and tightened at the same time as checking the condition of the brushes.
4. If the wiper blade is cracked, worn, deformed or does not provide good glass cleaning, it must be replaced.
Early models
5. Move the wiper blade leash away from the glass, press the locking lever and remove the wiper blade from the leash.
6. Press the metal tab at the end of the lever upwards with a screwdriver until it releases the metal tab of the insert, then move the insert away from the tab and remove the scraper.
7. Install the new insert in place so that the hole at the end is secured with a petal.
Late models
8. Move the leash away from the glass, press the locking tab and remove the brush from the leash hook.

9. Bend the end of the scraper to the side and use needle-nose pliers to remove the two metal support rods from the rubber scraper. Once the rods are removed, remove the scraper from the frame.
10. Install the new scraper into the frame and insert the retaining rods.
