Removal
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
If your car stereo system is equipped with a security code, make sure you have the correct combination to activate the audio system before disconnecting the battery!
2. Remove the transmission.
3. On models with manual transmission, remove the clutch assembly (see Chapter Clutch and transmission line).

4. Mark the position of the flywheel/drive plate relative to the crankshaft and remove the mounting bolts.
5. On models with AT, remove the drive disc adapter.

6. Remove the flywheel/drive plate from the engine.
Installation

1. Lubricate the mounting bolts with a special sealant to secure threaded connections.
2. Attach the flywheel/drive plate assembly to the crankshaft flange.
3. On models with AT, install the drive disc adapter.
4. Insert the mounting bolts and tighten them to the required torque (135 Nm: for 1.5L models); 130÷140 Nm: for 1.6 l, 2.0 l and 2.4 l models; 100 Nm: for 1.8 l models and 53÷56 Nm: for 3.0 l and 3.5 l models).
5. On models with manual transmission, reinstall the clutch assembly (see Chapter Clutch and transmission line).
6. Install the transmission.
7. Connect the negative cable to the battery.
