General information
1. The heater and air conditioner operate only when the engine is running. The operation of the heater is directly related to the temperature of the engine coolant, so operate the heater when the engine is warm enough. The amount of air passing through the heater/air conditioner can be adjusted by changing the fan speed.
2. On vehicles with air conditioning, after the start of cooling, the air coming out of the deflectors may look like fog for the first few minutes. This is due to the rapid cooling of moist air and is not a malfunction.
3. Too much cooling is harmful to health. The interior temperature should only be 5 - 6°C lower than the outside temperature.
4. When using the air conditioner, make sure that the outside air intake in front of the windshield is not obstructed (like leaves).
5. The air conditioner must be turned on for at least 5 minutes every month, even in cold weather. This is necessary to lubricate the internal parts of the compressor and keep the air conditioner running.
6. When the air conditioner is turned on, the engine idle speed increases. Be careful when starting the car.
7. An air filter is built into the air conditioning system to clean the air from dust and dirt.
Note: The procedure for changing the air filter is given in the chapter "Maintenance and general inspection and adjustment procedures".
8. The direction and strength of the air flow coming out of the deflector are adjusted using the knob and dial on the deflector, respectively.

Manual heater and air conditioning control panel
Note: the location of the switches is shown in the figure "Manual heater and air conditioning control panel".
1. The switch [3] is designed to turn on the air conditioner (when the air conditioner is on, the indicator on the switch is on). When pressed again, the air conditioning mode is turned off. The heater works if the air conditioning mode is disabled.
2. The air intake mode selection switch [4] allows air intake either from outside the vehicle (ventilation), or from the salon (recycling). The choice of the place of air intake is carried out by pressing the switch (pregnant "recycling" the indicator on the switch will be lit).
Note: the recirculation mode, especially in cold weather, should be used for a short period of time in order not to cause excessive fogging of the windows.
3. The switch [2] sets the rotational speed of the electric fan of the heater (airflow power). In total there are 4 positions for adjusting the fan speed. Under normal conditions, it is recommended to set the switch to the first or second position. Position "ABOUT" - switch off the heater fan.
4. Switch [5] is used to set the air temperature in the passenger compartment. Turn the switch knob clockwise to increase the temperature. The heater is deactivated when the switch is turned counterclockwise as far as it will go.
Note: If the engine coolant temperature is low, then the temperature of the air entering the passenger compartment does not change, even when the switch is in the extreme right position.
Manual heater and air conditioning control panel.
Note: the description of the switches is given in the subsection "Manual heater and air conditioning control panel".
5. When the rear window fogs up, press the rear window defroster switch (6). The operation of the heater is accompanied by the burning of the indicator on the button. The heater runs for 15 minutes and automatically turns off. Forced off by pressing the switch again.
6. The switch [1] is used to select the air flow detection mode. To enable the desired mode, turn the knob to the appropriate position.
Note: the thickness of the arrow indicates the power of the air flow coming out of the deflector.
A) The air flow is directed to the head area.
b) The air flow is directed to the area of the head and the floor at the same time.
V) The air flow is directed almost completely to the floor.
G) The air flow is directed to the windshield and to the floor.
d) The air flow is directed towards the windshield. This mode is used when the windshield is fogged up.
Heating and air conditioning control panel with automatic control
Note: the location of the switches is shown in the figure "Heating and air conditioning control panel with automatic control".
1. Switch [3] ("") designed to turn on the air conditioner. When the air conditioner is operating, the indicator on the switch is on. Pressing the switch again will turn off the air conditioner.
Note: A blinking indicator may indicate a malfunction in the air conditioning system. If the indicator starts flashing, then turn off the air conditioner, and then turn it on again. If the indicator stops flashing, then there is no problem.
2. Switch [4] (TEMP) serves to set the temperature of the air in the passenger compartment. The temperature can be changed from 18°C to 32°C by turning the switch.
3. Air intake mode selection switch [5] (ventilation/recirculation) allows air to be taken either from outside the vehicle or from inside. The choice is made by pressing the switch (pregnant "recycling" the indicator on the switch will be lit).
4. To enable automatic control of the air conditioner and heater (mode "AUTO") you need to set the temperature with the switch [4], then set the switches [1] and [2] to the position "AUTO" and turn on the air conditioning switch [3]. When the air conditioner is operating, the indicator on the switch [3] will be lit
Note: in the current mode "AUTO" the system, depending on the temperature of the specified air in the cabin, will automatically determine the required air intake mode. When the interior air temperature is low, the system will automatically enter recirculation mode to cool the air more quickly. When the set temperature of the air in the cabin is high, the system will automatically switch to the ventilation mode to warm up the air faster. When you try to change the air intake mode using the switches, the system will go into manual control of the heater and air conditioner.
5. The switch [2] sets the speed of the electric fan (airflow power). There are 7 levels of fan speed adjustment in total.
6. Switch [1] is used to change the mode of distribution of air flows supplied to the passenger compartment. To enable the desired mode, turn the knob to the appropriate position.
Note: the distribution of air flows in various modes is given in the subsection "Manual heater and air conditioning control panel".
7. When the rear window fogs up, press the rear window defroster switch (6). The operation of the heater is accompanied by the burning of the indicator on the button. The heater operates for 20 minutes and automatically turns off. Forced off by pressing the switch again.
