Adjusting the hood (Mitsubishi Pajero 1)

1. Loosen the hinge bolts and move the closed hood until the gap with the fenders and bulkhead is aligned.

2. Open the hood and align it completely.

3. Tighten the bolts to 14 Nm.

4. Check the operation of the hood lock. The lock should open with a slight force on the handle.



5. If necessary, adjust the position of the lock and latch by moving them with the mounting bolts loosened.



6. Adjust the height of the hood (the hood surface should be flush with the fenders), rotating buffers - limiters.



7. Adjust the buffers to maintain a size of 27 mm (1 – hood, 2 – buffer).

8. After adjusting the height, adjust the position of the lock again.

9. Upon completion, check the tightness of all bolts and nuts.
