Attention! Before buying a child seat, check if it will fit in the back seat of the car. Some child seats can be difficult to install due to the inappropriate placement of the seat belt buckles. If the child seat moves forward easily, select a different child seat.
Install the child seat in the center of the car's second seat.
Installation
1. Tighten the center seat belt to secure the child seat.
Attention! For safety reasons, the infant seat must be positioned backwards and the seat for younger children must be positioned backwards.
2. Shorten the seat belt if necessary.
3. Check that the child seat is secure by trying to move it in all directions.
Installing the UNIBELT child seat (with shoulder and bottom straps)
Statistics show that children are safer when they are wearing a child seat belt and are in the back seat rather than the front. Therefore, we recommend that children are in the back seat and strapped in when the vehicle is in motion.
1. Install the child seat as shown in the illustration.
Attention! For safety reasons, the infant seat must be positioned backwards and the seat for younger children must be positioned backwards.
2. Fully stretch the seat belt. Then thread it through the child seat according to the seat manufacturer's instructions and insert the buckle into the buckle. Check that the seat belt is tight enough to securely fasten the child seat. When you release the seat belt, it will tighten and the retractor will go into automatic mode. When you remove the child seat and the belt is fully tightened into the drum, the tensioner will return to its original position.
Attention! For safety reasons, the infant seat must be positioned backwards and the seat for younger children must be positioned backwards.
3. Check that the tightener has been switched from emergency operation to automatic operation. In automatic mode, the tightening device always securely fixes the child seat.
Warning! If you do not set the retractor to automatic mode, the child seat will not be securely fastened and will move forward in the event of braking or a minor accident.
Attention! Follow the child seat manufacturer's instructions for installation.
Attention! Check that the seat belt is not twisted.
Installing a child seat in the front seat - models with UNIBELT seat belts
Installing the child seat is described above. It is recommended that the child seat be installed in the back seat of the vehicle with an adult seated next to it. If the driver is the only adult in the car, the child seat must be installed in the front seat and securely fastened.
