Changing the oil in the transfer case (Mitsubishi Pajero 1)

Recommended oil grade: GL4 or SAE 75W-85W.

Transfer case oil caps

1. Drain
2. Refueling
3. Level

Procedure

1. Raise the vehicle and place it on stands. Place a tray under the drain plug.

2. Remove the drain plug at the bottom of the transfer case housing and drain the oil.

3. Screw the plug back on, replacing the gasket.

4. Unscrew the filler plug and fill with oil up to the lower edge of the hole. Replace the filler cap.
