Throttle Body and Intake Manifold Orientation (2.4L)

1. Branch pipe; 2. Gasket; 3. Collector

In the MFI injection system, each of the injectors is inserted directly into the cylinder, and the amount of air in the combustible mixture is determined by the opening of the valve in the throttle pipe.

Attention! The use of household detergents is not allowed. To avoid damage to the washer pump.

Removal and installation

1. Disconnect the battery from ground.

2. Drain the liquid.

3. Disconnect the air duct from the branch pipe, mark and disconnect all hoses (vacuum, ventilation and cooling liquid) and cables.

4. Label and disconnect all connectors. Some of the connectors are located outside the pipe.

5. Unscrew the 4 nuts and bolts and remove the pipe, paying attention to the location of the bolts. It is highly recommended not to disassemble the pipe. When replacing a hose, make sure the new unit is exactly the same as the one removed.

6. Installation is carried out in reverse order. Replace the gaskets. Tighten the branch pipe nuts (bolts) to the appropriate torques.
