Installing the clutch on a mandrel
1. Flywheel; 2. Friction disc; 3. Lubricate; 4. Mandrel; 5. Casing
1. Remove the gearbox.
2. Install the centering mandrel (for example, the old primary shaft of the gearbox), loosen the bolts evenly and remove the clutch discs.

3. Remove the release bearing and the clutch release fork (see subsection 9.2.4).
4. Install the clutch in reverse order, cleaning the flywheel and clutch discs.
5. Install the friction disc on the mandrel.
6. Tighten the clutch-to-flywheel mounting bolts to 18 N·m (1983-89) or 19 N·m (1990-98).
7. On 1992-98 vehicles, lubricate the clutch disc and input shaft splines with Mitsubishi part number 0101011.
