The gears are changed by moving the synchronizer clutches using forks mounted on rods, which are driven by the hinge part and the head of the lever.
The gear shift lever assembly with the hinge part is not adjustable.
If play is detected between the upper part of the lever and the lower part, the lever is replaced as an assembly.
Periodically check the smooth movement of the two sections of the lever relative to each other, as well as the condition of the dust cover.
