If the fan speed and air distribution control knobs (selection of deflectors) set to the AUT position, then when the temperature control knob is turned, the fan operating mode is automatically selected (except and ), the operating mode of the air conditioner and the supply of outside air. This part of the manual describes only the display readings.

The display shows the current operating mode of the air conditioner. Even if this mode is not selected using the DISP function key, it is switched automatically each time the position of the air conditioner controls is changed.



Note: After automatically switching to this mode while operating the air conditioner, the display will return to the previous readings if no further operation of the air conditioner is performed within 10 seconds.




Fan speed indicator



The number of bars shows the fan speed.



A. High speed; B. Low speed


Air supply mode indicator (recirculation of air inside the cabin/intake of outside air)



Shows the air conditioner operating mode: supply of outside air or recirculation of air inside the cabin.



C. Outdoor air intake; D. Recirculation


Air distribution indicator



Shows which air deflectors are currently active.



Air is supplied only to the upper part of the cabin.



Air is supplied to the upper part of the cabin and to the feet.



Most of the air flow is directed to the feet



Air is supplied to the feet, windshield and door windows.



Air is supplied only to the windshield and door windows




Display of the set temperature



This indicator (E) shows the set air temperature in the passenger compartment.



Windshield defroster indicator





This indicator (F) lights up when air is supplied in the mode (windshield blowing).

Rear window heating indicator





This indicator (G) comes on when the rear window heating is switched on.



Automatic mode indicator



This indicator (H) lights up when the air conditioner is operating in automatic mode (when both the fan speed and air distribution mode selection knobs are set to the AUT position).



Air conditioner on indicator



This indicator (I) lights up while the air conditioner is operating.



Caution: On models with a 3500 cc engine, this indicator will flash when a fault is detected in the air conditioning compressor. Stop the vehicle in a safe place, turn off the engine and start it again. If after this the air conditioner operation indicator does not flash, there is no malfunction. If the indicator continues to flash, it is recommended to have the vehicle checked.
