Removal

• Remove the trim from the tailgate.
• Remove the high brake light.
• Remove the rear window wiper.
• Disconnect the electrical connectors from the tailgate glass defroster.
• Remove the tailgate glass in the same manner as the windshield.

Installation

• Clean the inside and outside surfaces of the windshield and the door frame surface with isopropyl alcohol.
• Install the clips on the inner surface of the glass as shown in Figure 17.18.

• Install the two-way clips between the tabs on the tailgate panel and then install them in the corresponding places on the glass (Fig. 17.19).

• Apply the trims along the edges of the luggage compartment glass (Fig. 17.20).

• Apply primer and glue in the areas shown in Figure 17.17.
• Install the tailgate glass in the same manner as the windshield.
