- If, when closing the glass, it suddenly begins to move downwards on its own, adjust or replace the window lift mechanism.
- Remove the door trim and dust and moisture protection film.
- Remove the screws and detach the glass from the power window assembly and check the force required to manually raise and lower the glass.
- If the door glass does not move smoothly up and down without jamming, repair the glass guide or adjust the distance between the guides by loosening the bolts securing the lower or center guide and moving them in different directions and tightening the bolts. If this adjustment does not produce the desired results, replace the door assembly.
Note: The bottom of the glass guide is not normally adjustable, however it is possible to move it outward slightly during reinstallation within manufacturing tolerances.
