Cordia, Precis and Tredia
1. Remove the power steering pump and alternator drive belts.
16.2 Generator mounting elements on Cordia and Tredia models (other models are similar)
1. Power steering system pump; 2. Bracket; 3. Generator; 4. Connection connector
2. Remove the power steering pump (16.2).
3. Remove the generator adjustment bracket, unscrew the lower mounting bolt, disconnect the connection connectors and remove the generator.
4. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
5. Adjust the tension of the drive belts.
Galant
6. Remove the left fan. Remove the power steering pump and alternator drive belts.
7. Remove the generator bracket, unscrew the lower mounting bolt, disconnect the connection connectors and remove the generator.
8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
9. Adjust the tension of the drive belts.
Colt, Lancer, Mirage (1985-1988)
10. Remove the alternator drive belt and other belts if necessary.
11. Loosen the generator mounting bolts, mark and disconnect the connection connectors and remove the generator.
12. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
13. Adjust the tension of the drive belts.
Colt, Lancer, Mirage (1989 and later) 1.5L
14. Remove the drive belts of the power steering pump, air conditioning compressor and generator.

1. Compressor drive belt; 2. Power steering pump drive belt; 3. Drive belt; 4. Water pump pulley; 5. Water pump pulley; 6. Bracket; 7. Connection connector; 8. Generator
15. Remove the generator bracket (16.15), unscrew the lower mounting bolt, disconnect the connection connectors and remove the generator.
16. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
17. Adjust the tension of the drive belts.
1.6L
18. Remove the power steering pump and alternator drive belts.
16.19 Generator mounting elements on Colt, Lancer, Mirage 1.6L models (1989 and later)
1. Drive belt; 2. Power steering pump drive belt; 3. Water pump pulley; 4. Water pump pulley; 5. Bracket; 6. Connection connector; 7. Fastening; 8. Battery; 9. Washer fluid reservoir; 10. Battery shelf; 11. Radiator; 12. Generator
19. Remove the water pump pulleys (16.19).
20. Remove the generator bracket, remove the radiator, unscrew the lower mounting bolt, disconnect the connection connectors and remove the generator.
21. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
22. Adjust the tension of the drive belts.
