When maintaining electrical equipment, observe the following rules:
- 1) Be extremely careful when checking electrical equipment parts and devices. If connected incorrectly or handled unskillfully, the engine electrical equipment devices will quickly fail
- 2) When the engine is not running, it is prohibited to leave the ignition on for more than 10 minutes.
- 3) Do not disconnect the battery cables while the engine is running.
- 4). When emergency starting the engine from the battery of another vehicle, observe the polarity of the battery connection.
- 5) Always disconnect the battery from ground first and connect it to ground at the very last moment, to avoid short-circuiting the battery with the tool used to tighten the terminals.
Before starting the work described in this Chapter, it would also be a good idea to familiarize yourself with the safety precautions outlined in the "Safety Precautions" section at the beginning of this Manual.
