6.1 Disconnect the high-voltage wire and connect it to a grounded ignition sensor - a spark should break through between the wire and the sensor when the engine crankshaft is rotated by the starter
1. Check that a spark breaks through between the high-tension wire and the ground when the crankshaft is rotated by the starter. If there is no spark, check the distributor cap, connecting wires and contacts (6.1).
2. On models without a spark distributor, check the high tension wire and the spark distributor module.
