Removing
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal wire.
2. Disconnect the coil high voltage wire from the distributor cap.
3. Disconnect the vacuum hoses from the ignition timing module.
4. Mark the location of the high voltage wire of the first cylinder on the distributor cap and remove the cap.
8.5 Before removing the distributor, mark the position of the tip of the slider on the distributor body
5. Turn the engine crankshaft so that the slider is opposite the wire terminal of the first cylinder, and mark the position of the slider on the distributor housing (8.5).
6. Make the alignment marks on the distributor housing and cylinder block. Unscrew the fixing nut and remove the distributor. Caution: Do not rotate the crankshaft when the distributor is removed from the engine.
7. Disconnect the wires of the primary winding of the ignition coil from the distributor.
Installation
8. Install the distributor on the cylinder block, matching the marks made earlier. Loosely tighten the fixing nut and connect the wires.
9. Install the distributor cap and connect the vacuum hoses to the ignition timing module.
10. Connect the high voltage wires to the spark plugs.
11. Connect a wire of the minus plug of the accumulator.
12. Check up a corner of an advancing of ignition and reliably tighten a fixing nut of the distributor.
