When the car is raised, you can easily check the protective boots of the drive shaft joints. Press where shown in the picture, the protruding parts of the boot (arrow) to the side to identify possible damage.
Turn the wheel and check both shaft boots for small cracks and broken spots.
Check if the clamp is securely seated. Tighten the clamp if necessary.
Traces of grease on the protective covers are a warning sign, as loss of grease or dirt or moisture getting inside will very quickly destroy the surface of the hinge.
Replace damaged covers immediately. To do this, remove the drive shaft and disassemble it.
