Each drive consists of three parts: an inner part consisting of a splined tip and a constant velocity joint (LLIPVC), an outer part also consisting of a splined tip and LUPVC, and a central drive shaft.
The splined end of the inner joint housing enters the splines of the differential axle gear with its splines and is fixed in it with a locking ring. The splined end of the outer joint housing is inserted and secured with a nut in the wheel hub. The joints are lubricated with consistent grease and are covered with protective covers on the outside. The only method of maintenance concerning the wheel drives is their visual inspection for separation or damage to the protective covers or oil leaks from the inner joint seal. Leakage of lubricant from under the hub bearing seal means that it requires replacement.
Mounting elements of drive shafts
1 - left drive shaft (models with manual transmission); 2 - right drive shaft (models with manual transmission); 3, 4 - drive shafts of models with automatic transmission (AT); 5 - retaining ring; 6 - pin; 7 - nut; 8 - ball joint; 9 - steering rod end.
