1. The support is mounted in the body of the lower suspension arm and, if worn, is replaced together with the latter (see Section Removal and installation the lower arms of the front suspension).
2. Jack up the car and place it on supports - the wheels should be completely off the ground.
3. Grasp the upper edge of the wheel and tug it in the plane of the drive shaft axis. The presence of the slightest signs of play in the seating of the lever in the steering knuckle is a sign of wear of the ball joint - replace the lever assembly.
4. The support must also be replaced if its ball pin rotates in its seat manually.
