When operating the vehicle in very dusty areas, in busy urban traffic (frequent short trips), or when frequently towing a trailer, the intervals for performing routine maintenance procedures should be reduced to a minimum, if possible.
Maintenance of a new vehicle, in order to avoid violating the manufacturer's warranty obligations, must be carried out at the vehicle manufacturer's authorized service station (see table on the next page).
Routine maintenance procedures that require more frequent performance when the vehicle is operated under high stress conditions
The following conditions are understood as stressful:
- Operation in highly dusty areas;
- Operation at elevated (over 32°C) or reduced (below 0°C) ambient temperatures;
- Operation in conditions of a busy urban cycle (frequent stops, prolonged engine idling);
- Operation in the mode of frequent short trips (the engine does not have time to warm up to normal operating temperature);
- Use of the vehicle for road patrol, delivery service, or as a towing or taxi vehicle.
For all of the above cases, you should increase the frequency of performing individual routine vehicle maintenance procedures and perform:
- Replacement of engine oil and oil filter - every 5000 km;
- Checking the condition/replacing the disc brake pads - every 10,000 km;
- Checking the condition/cleaning/replacing the air filter - every 25,000 km;
- Replacement of ATF and AT filter - every 25,000 km;
- Checking the condition/maintenance/replacement of shoes and wheel cylinders of the rear wheel drum brakes - every 25,000 km;
- Replacement of spark plugs (except for spark plugs with platinum electrodes installed on Diamante models) - every 25,000 km.
- Replacement of transmission oil in manual transmission/transfer case (Galant and Mirage) - every 50,000 km.
