The regulator increases the stability of a loaded vehicle during sudden braking and is mounted at the rear of the frame. The operation of the valve is determined by the tension of the spring, which presses on the lever with a certain force. On an unloaded vehicle placed on a level surface, the length of the spring, measured horizontally, should be 224–228 mm.

Removal and installation

1. Disconnect the spring.

2. Label and disconnect the tubes.

3. Loosen the bolts and remove the regulator.

4. When installing, tighten the pipe fittings to a torque of 17 N·m, adjust the spring and bleed the brakes.

Adjustment

To adjust, loosen the bolt and move the bracket.
