Brake Pedal (1987-98)
1. Switch; 2. Spring; 3, 6. Cotter pin; 4, 7. Washer; 5. Axis; 8. Cable; 10. Pedal; 11. Bushing; 12. Spacer sleeve; M/T – for manual transmission; A/T – for automatic transmission; A. Lubricate
1. Disconnect the battery from ground, remove the brake light switch, and disconnect the pedal spring.
2. Unpin and remove the pedal axle.
3. Unpin and disconnect the cable from the transmission (for cars with automatic transmission).
4. Unscrew the nut, remove the bolt and remove the pedal, remove the bushings if necessary.
5. Installation is carried out in reverse order. Adjust the pedal and switch (see subsection 11.3).
6. Tighten all connections to the required torques.
7. Adjust the pedal and switch.
