Pic. 14.5. Connecting pressure gauges respectively to the inlet and outlet of the pressure regulator: 1 - manometer; 2 - pressure regulator
1. Connect two pressure gauges respectively to the inlet and outlet of the pressure regulator as shown in fig. 14.5.
2. Remove air from the hydraulic system of the brakes and pressure gauges.
3. Gradually depressing the brake pedal, take the following measurements and make sure that the measurement results are within tolerance.
Check that the outlet pressure starts to drop relative to the inlet pressure (switching point).
Nominal value of pressure, MPa:
- 3,43±0,25 (engine 1600);
- 3,92±0,25 (engine 1800).
Check and make sure that when increasing the pressure on the brake pedal, the outlet fluid pressure is within the specified limits, while the inlet pressure is 9.81 MPa.
Nominal value of pressure at the outlet of the regulator, MPa:
- 5,03±0,4 (engine 1600);
- 5,39±0,4 (engine 1800).
The outlet pressure difference between the right and left circuits of the hydraulic system should be no more than 0.8 MPa.
If the pressure readings are not within specifications, replace the rear brake pressure regulator.
