1. Loosen the two bolts and remove the disc brake caliper assembly, lift it up and secure it with wire (Fig. 14.10).
2. Inspect the surface of the disc for pits, rust and cracks. Clean the disc thoroughly and remove all rust.
3. Place the dial indicator tip approximately 5 mm from the outer edge of the brake disc and measure the runout by rotating the brake disc.
The maximum permissible runout value is no more than 0.07 mm.
4. During the measurement process, tighten the wheel nuts to secure the brake disc to the hub.
