Removal
To remove the brake pedal, perform the following steps.
1. Remove the lower instrument panel trim.
2. Remove the steering column assembly.
3. Remove the relay block.

4. Disconnect connector 14 (Fig. 14.12) of the brake light switch.
5. Unscrew the brake light switch 13.
6. Remove ring 12.
7. Remove the spring retainer 7.
8. Remove washer 8.
9. Unscrew the locking bolt 9.
10. Remove the brake pedal axle bolt 16.
11. Remove brake pedal 5.
12. Remove brake pedal pad 6.
13. Remove the brake pedal return spring 10.
14. Remove bushings 4.
15. Remove sleeve 11.
16. Release connection 1 of the accelerator cable.
17. Loosen the nuts and bolts and remove the brake pedal mounting bracket 3.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following.
1. Install the relay block.
2. Install the steering column assembly.
3. Install the lower instrument panel trim.
4. Adjust the position of the brake pedal.
