Removal the starter



1. Remove the front propeller shaft.



2. Disconnect the starter connector (1).

3. Remove the starter assembly (2).

Installing the starter



1. Install the starter assembly (2).

2. Connect the starter connector (1).

3. Install the front propeller shaft.

Disassembling the starter





1. Remove the retaining ring (1).

2. Remove the restrictor ring (2).

3. Remove the gear (3).

4. Remove the spring (4).

5. Unscrew the screw (5).

6. Remove the traction relay (6).

7. Unscrew the screw (7).

8. Remove the screw (8).

9. Remove the back cover (9).

10. Remove the brush holder assembly (10).



11. Remove the pole with the starter winding assembly (11).

12. Remove the brushes (12).

13. Remove the anchor (13).

14. Remove the rear bearing (14).

15. Remove the cover (15).

18. Remove the rubber gasket (16).

17. Remove the rubber gasket (17).

18. Remove the plate (18).

19. Remove the ball (19).

20. Remove the planetary gear (20).

21. Remove the drive lever (21).

22. Remove the washer (22).

23. Remove the washer (23).

24. Remove the carrier (24).

25. Remove the internal gear (25).

26. Remove the overrunning clutch (26).

27. Remove the front cover (27).

Assembling the starter



1. Install the front cover (27).

2. Install the overrunning clutch (26).

3. Install the internal gear (25).

4. Install the carrier (24).

5. Install the washer (23).

6. Install the washer (22).

7. Install the drive lever (21).

8. Install the planetary gear (20).

9. Install the ball (19).

10. Install the plate (18).

11. Install the rubber gasket (17).

12. Install the rubber gasket (16).

13. Install the cover (15).

14. Install the rear bearing (14).

15. Install the anchor (13).

16. Install the brushes (12).

17. Install the pole with the starter winding assembly (11).
