Disassembling the gearbox





1. Remove the transfer case (1).

2. Remove the wiring bracket (2).

3. Remove the wiring bracket (3).

4. Remove the transfer case housing adapter (4).

5. Remove the gearbox (5).

Note: When assembling, tighten the bolts to the tightening torques shown in the figure.


1. Install the gearbox (5).

2. Install the transfer case housing adapter (4).

1) Apply special grease to the surface shown in the figure of the transfer case housing adapter.

Special lubricant: genuine MITSUBISHI sealant No. MR166584 or equivalent.



3. Install the wiring bracket (3).

4. Install the wiring bracket (2).

5. Install the transfer case (1).
