Disassembling the transfer case housing adapter





1. Remove the parking strut shaft (1).

2. Remove the parking strut spring (2).

3. Remove the parking spacer (3).

4. Remove the sealing cover (4).

5. Remove the parking roller support shaft (5).

6. Remove the parking roller support (6).

7. Remove the oil seal (7).

8. Remove the transfer case housing adapter (8).

Assembling the transfer case housing adapter



1. Install the transfer case housing adapter (8).

2. Install the seal (7).

1) Install the oil seal using special tools MB990929 and MB990938.

2) Apply special grease to the edge of the seal.

Special grease: Mitsubishi Part No. 0101011 or equivalent.

3. Install the parking roller support (6).

4. Install the parking roller support shaft (5).

5. Install the sealing cover (4).

1) Press on the sealing caps as shown in the figure.

2) Apply special lubricant as shown in the figure.

Special grease: ZMTM AAD part No. 8672 or similar.



6. Install the parking spacer (3).



7. Install the parking strut spring (2).

1) Attach the end of the spring as shown in the picture.



8. Install the parking strut shaft (1).
