Disassembling the fork and shift shaft





1. Remove the spring pin (1).

2. Remove the 2-4WD shift fork (2).

3. Remove the spring (3).

4. Remove the 2-4WD shift shaft (4).

5. Remove the spring pin (5).

6. Remove the HL shift fork (6).

7. Remove the HL shift shaft (7).

Assembly of the fork and shift shaft



1. Install the HL shift shaft (7).

2. Install the HL shift fork (6).

1) Apply special grease to the outer part of the shift fork and the shift shaft, and then assemble the shift fork and the shift shaft.

Special grease: Mitsubishi Part No. 0101011 or equivalent.



3. Install the spring pin (5).

4. Install the 2-4WD shift shaft (4).



5. Install the spring (3).

6. Install the 2-4WD shift fork (2).

1). Apply special grease to the outer part of the shift fork and the shift shaft, and then assemble the shift fork and the shift shaft.

Special grease: Mitsubishi Part No. 0101011 or equivalent.



7. Install the spring pin (1).

1) Install the spring pin with the split end facing the front of the transfer case.
