Disassembling the input gear of the transfer case
1. Remove the spring ring (1).
2. Remove the ball bearing (2).
1) Remove the ball bearing using special tool MD998801.
3. Remove the spring ring (3).
4. Remove the cone spring (4).
5. Remove the auxiliary gear (5).
6. Remove the transfer case input shaft (6).

Transfer case input gear assembly
1. Install the transfer case input shaft (6).
2. Install the auxiliary gear (5).
3. Install the cone spring (4).
4. Install the spring ring (3).
5. Install the ball bearing (2).
1) Install the ball bearing using special tool MD998812 and MD998826.
6. Install the spring ring (1).
1) Install the thickest snap ring that can fit into the slot of the transfer case input gear.
2) Make sure that the axial clearance of the transfer case input gear bearing is within the standard value.
Standard value: 0-0.06mm.
