Checking the brake light switch (Mitsubishi Space Star)

Connect an ohmmeter to the contacts of the brake light switch connector and check the brake light switch circuit with the rod pressed and released (Fig. 15.8). If the rod is recessed so that its protrusion is 4 mm from the end of the housing, then with a serviceable switch the circuit should be open, with the pusher released the circuit should be closed.
