- Remove the oil filler cap. Remove the oil drain plug from the oil pan and wait until all the oil drains into a container.
- Use a special wrench to remove the oil filter.
- Wipe away all traces of oil and dirt around the filter mounting area. Check to see if the rubber seal is still on the cylinder block. If it is, remove it.
- Lubricate the rubber seal of the new oil filter with clean engine oil (Fig. 4.44).

- Screw in the oil filter and tighten it to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 10-14 Nm
- Fill the lubrication system with engine oil.
- Start the engine and check for oil leaks.
- Turn off the engine and wait a few minutes for the oil to drain into the pan. Check the oil level and top up if necessary.
- Dispose of the oil filter in accordance with applicable laws.
